Raise my arms
in hope,
to boundless sky
and unrelenting rain.
Pearls of water
fill the emptiness
of the crescent
to my curved shaped palms.
I yearn for you,
to be my sun in the dark sky,
to be my shelter in the pouring rain,
to be there when I need you.
Your embrace,
a blanket of warm summer breeze,
soft and soothing,
like a remedy to the cruel winter zephyr.
Your words,
they sing to this stone fist,
creating molten lava,
that burns of infatuation.
Your eyes,
they pierce, deep into the soul,
of a stone soldier,
lost in solitude and despair.
Raise my arms
in hope,
to boundless sky
and unrelenting rain.
I raise them still,
through bitter tempest,
and ruthless gales.
Futile.
Thoughts wander,
to once,
when the nights weren't cold.
------
Like lovebirds in the spring,
fluttering among flowers,
bathing endlessly
in the smell of sweet nectar,
As light turns to dark,
they retreat,
to veiled nests,
away from the wilderness.
The night cruises away,
as the birds indulge,
to the spoils of love,
to the transient satisfaction of their insatiable lust.
Nights spent,
spoiling themselves,
to this lustful fervor,
that intimate endeavor.
The nights,
long as the river meanders,
inevitably ends,
a season of sensual frolicking,
of exceptional intimacy.
The graceful lovebird,
radiant and dazzling,
flies away,
to the wings of another,
to the comfort of her new partner.
-----
I tell you sweet things,
it might sound unreal.
It's because your'e beautiful,
plus it doesn't kill.
I never had you,
and I never will.
But believe me when I say,
your'e in my heart still.
